Effexor xr and Lamictal

I am currently on 450 mg of effexor xr and still having symptoms of depression. I also have incredibly low sex drive. My doctor is starting me on Lamictal at 25 mg and I will be increasing it to 100 mg over 4 weeks. I will then start reducing the effexor. Is anyone on this combination or just taking lamictal for depression? Any observations, feed-back would help.
