rapid cycle bipolarity x bipolarity?

Posted by geekUK on July 22, 2001, at 19:20:19

this has been bothering me, I seem to flip in and out of good and bad times frequently. depakote it seems has evened this out a little, leaving me persistantly depressed. but I also seem to float in and out of depression and happyness over a longer timespan, a 2-3times a year, maybe. is it possible to have two currents of bipolar running at the same time??
if so lithium is the choise to add, yes?? and what chance do I have convincing the docs to give me two potentialy lethal (particularly Li) when they point blank state that I am not bipolar (dispite only 30 min verbal questionare!)any tips for dealing with dangerous docs (when you cant find a new one -NHS)
