I just want off this drug. I've been on it over 5 years and have stayed on just because I was scared of the withdrawal symptoms. Same for the Klonopin too, except without that I get panic attacks.
The Paxil was given for panic attacks and I don't think it helps them at all. All it really did was numb my emotions and body responses.
So, it's a personal challenge now to see if I can make mind over matter and get off this stuff.
But, your observation is logical. And, if I really feel lousy and decide I am better taking it, I won't go over 10 again.

Since you are feeling better on 10 mg than 20, do you think that maybe you should stay on 10 for a few months and see how it goes rather than quitting right now? It might be that 10 mg will be better for you than quitting.
