In reply to Re: Which Anti-dep's are SEDATING? help!, posted by Roo on July 16, 2001, at 14:56:42

Roo,

I have tried BOTH Celexa and Paxil!! In fact, I was on Paxil for many years before it either pooped out or just is not meant for the hypomania I had developed.

I NEVER EVER found Paxil sedating or calming, but a friend of my sister's found it too sedating.

I DID find Celexa to be sedating, so I took it at night, but it was not sedating enough to help me sleep and it caused me other side effects during the day that did not go away - headaches (which I RARELY get), foggy and heavy headed feelings and feeling detached and spacey. Had to taper off it.

Thanks for your response.
