I'm Bipolar I and am on Depakote, Klonapin, and Wellbutrin, but am also on Remeron and Geodon. Prior to taking these meds I was put on many many other cocktails over the course of the last thirteen years without success. I was severely and continually cycling up until this last year in which I was just profoundly depressed. I have been on this new combonation of medications for about eight weeks now and find that I have had great success with them. Since taking them I have come out of the paralyzing depression and for the first time in approximately twenty years I have had little if any distinguishable cycling in my mood. I am able to be quite positive and productive as well. However, like you, I also continue to experience generalized anxiety; something we haven't been able to pin point the source of yet, but it appears to be related to the meds. As far as the indecision and dwelling goes, I no longer seem to have those troubles. Incidentally, I too have had substance abuse issues but have been able to remain drug free since beginning this combonation of medications. The one thing that I caution you against is assuming that this is all from medication alone. I am not where I am today without sincere effort on my part and a good therapist in addition to my psychiatrist and a good support system of family and friends.
Good luck...I wish you the best!
