Currently at 225mg of effexorXR for about 2 weeks and feel extremely dizzy. Has anyone run into this side effect. How long does it take to go away.

I also started at 37.5 then 75, etc. and experienced dizziness with each dose increase. I purposely asked for regular Effexor after awhile so that I could increase dosages in smaller amounts (i.e. halving the 75mg tablets). That helped me adjust to the increased dosages better (still a small amount of dizziness with each increase but very brief). I have been at 262.5 for one month and feel quite good and no longer experience 'Effexor dizziness'. One thing: the idea to ask for the regular Effexor tablets was my idea; my GP thought it odd, but granted my wishes. I am not sure how/if your doc will respond. Hope this helps.
