I guess your swaeting comes from Efexor. I had this side effect too, when I was taking 150 mg of Efexor ER. Paxil could cause it too but less frequent than Efexor believe me.
What did your doc say about this combo ?
> I am currently on 40 mg of Paxil and 75mg of Effexor. These are the only drugs I am on. I think the two work fantastic together. I think my depression was a bit a-typical, and that is why effexor helped. I am currenty going to try to lower my paxil dose and up my effexor dose because I am experiencing excessive sweating. That is reported with Paxil. So, we are going to see if I do ok with a little less paxil and more effexor. I like the combo because the paxil works so well on the anxiety , but can sometimes be a bit sedating. The effexor speeds you up a bit, countering the "stoney" feeling I get on Paxil. Let me know if you have any questions. Also, wait a while for the Paxil to kick in. You might need more than 40.
