Gabitril (tiagabine HCL) share any info anyone?

My pdoc just suggested gabitril as an alternative to longterm use of ativan. I know nothing about this drug. Can anyone elighten me? (Background: Have PTSD and so anxiety from triggers, etc. Using ativan 1mg 2xdy and wellbutrin ir 75mg 4xdy.) There's probably a good link out there somewhere and I think it's a newer? drug. Personally clueless. Not swallowing a thing without information. Thanks. -Terra
