Hi-Well Ihave always noticed that my mood is directly related to my pupil size-when my pupils are larger my mood is good --pupils real small extremely low mood. This correlation is even along a straight continuum meaning if just slightly larger mood is just slightly better-if pupils are quite dilated then mood, clearness of cognition, functionality are very good. Can remember especially a trial I had on efflexor while still on vivactil when the first 5 days my mood and functionality was the best ever--my pupils were quite dilated. After the first 5 days little by little each day I noticed my pupils getting smaller and smaller until the 10th day they were very small and my initial really robust response was totally gone. When I returned to my psychiatrist I raved about those first 5 days but was very concerned as by the 10th day my mood was horrible--he said don't worry as we increase the dose from 37.5---up to 200 or more that will return. Well I never once experienced a single good day on the efflexor vivactil combo that I had had the initial 5 days even though I stayed on them for over a year and even complained that ever dose simply sedated me and I could never think well or even read very well-and of course--my pupils again the correlation never were enlarged again. Have read of others experiencing this same correlation--being that pupillary size correlates closely to mood. Also like to mention the close correlation I've noticed between piloerection and mood---when goose bumps are present --mood--functionality is very good--this doesn't mean that piloerction is necessary for good mood -just reflecting the fact that I've noticed that when mood is good on anti-depressants--or cytomel also goose bumps are inevitably present !!!! Anyone have any similiar experiences , thoughts on this matter would really like to hear from you !!!
