I had a bad reaction to Serzone, flu-like symptoms. Probably started at too high a dose, 150mg.

I then took Remeron for 3 months at 7.5mg - 30mg/day. It was a good sleep aid. No sexual problem, dry mouth, dizzyness, etc. But I gained about 5 lbs, despite good diet and vigorous regular exercise. It didn't help my depression much. I think Remeron is a good drug with very few side affects (vs. SSRIs). It didn't work for me, but if you're an anxious depressive and/or have insomnia, it's a good choice.

I'm now resuming Serzone, starting with a very low dose.

Each person responds to each antidepressant differently. You'll just have to try each one, and be prepared to switch if the 1st doesn't work.

My advice with any antidepressant: start low, go slow, don't quit too soon.
