Hello,
I wonder if there is anyone out there in the same situtation as me. First I am a medically retired veteran 32 years of age. I have been diagnosed with major depression /bi-polar. Also I have bad problems with concentration since January 1995. I have tried prozac, paxil, etc. I am now on, since 1999, wellbutrin Sr. and tranqulizers. I do not feel that any of this has helped me. I am always exhausted no matter how much sleep I get, not to mention irratable, etc. In the summer of 96 my medical doctor sent me for a sleep study. The doctor from that study recommended that I be put on a trial of psycho-stimulants and forwarded this to my psych., They didn't agree. I had a appointment today and voiced my concerns, with no success, just more wellbutrin and tranqulizers. I won't even take the tranqulizers becuause it puts me out for extended periods. I lost have of my stomach wall while in the Army so, I see a medical doctor and a psych. doctor. Does anyone have an idea on how I could convince a doctor to try me on a psycho-stimulant? I forgot to mention that I see a psych. nurse practionier, there is no psych. doctor in my area anymore
Thanks,
Bob
