I don't know. But depression can amplify pain, so perhaps if the depression is controlled the pain lessons? But then your pain is causing the depression so I would think if you were able to control the pain the depression would be gone.

I'm starting to ramble, off to bed with me. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Some of the older ADs are used for pain control. I have a friend who was taking ampitrypline (sp?) for nerve pain and it has helped. Someone will be able to give you a better answer.
