Zoloft and tiredness - fix with effexor?

Posted by jana-L on May 27, 2001, at 15:31:28

hi. i've been on zoloft for about a year now. it worked
great at first, but the effects have sort of fizzled a bit in the last
few months. still, it's much better than before i started it. the
biggest problem/side effect i still have is that i have very low energy
all the time. i've sort of had this problem all my life, and the zoloft
has just made it worse. my doctor thinks i should get off zoloft and try
effexor xr, and that this will give me more energy. however, from what i've
read about effexor here, it sounds like a really serious drug with really
serious side effects and withdrawl. do any of you know of a better way to
combat the lack of energy on zoloft without having to switch to effexor? or
have any of you had luck with effexor giving you more energy?

thanks a lot for your help!
