I gained twenty-five pounds during those five months as a result of a newly-acquired voracious appetite. My normal weight is 135 pounds. I hated the other side-effects as well - constipation, difficulty urinating, dry mouth, sleepwalking. I didn't care about the loss of interest in sex because I didn't have a partner. I felt then that the only person benefitting was the psychiatrist so I dropped him and the med. I decided that it wasn't a chemical imbalance but the simple fact that my life sucked that was making me depressed. I had tried Prozac and Zoloft previously with similar results. Eight years later my life still sucks and I'm still depressed. I don't know anything about Trazadone. Sorry, I guess I wasn't helpful; I just noticed you hadn't gotten any responses and thought I'd give my $.02.
