Hi Dave,
My name is Hooman Tajbakhsh and I would like to learn about about your pyschotic reaction when you took prednisone. My brother who is in medical school has had a history of depression. He diagnosed himself (not correctly of course) with PAN which is an inflammation of the vascular system and he thought all his symptoms were related to this 'disease'. He convinced an ER doctor to give him a 128 mg dose of prednisone (which is the medication for PAN) for 7 days which he took in 3 days. In a matter of few days (2-3 weeks) he had a pyschotic episode an he has since been in the hospital. He claims to be god and so on.. Please respond to my email if you have more details of your case and how you were able to deal with the reaction. Thank you.
