I am BPII. I took just Neurontin and Celexa last year and felt no relief from the Neurontin then. However, when Topamax was added, everything "fell into place" (at least mostly). :)

I think most folks would say it works best as an adjunct stabilizer.

Right now I take Topamax 250 mg, Celexa 40 mg, and Neurontin 2400 mg. The Neurontin definitely does help now, because when I forget to take it (which does happen, because it has to be taken every four hours) I notice a difference.
