> If you have been treated for psychosis do to manic depression and no longer have any psychotic symptoms and you then drink a moderate amount of alcohol for a while, have you noticed psychosis reappearing because of your alcohol use? Particularly, if you had a lot to drink one night, did you notice any psychosis the next morning which then persists until further antipsychotic drugs are used to treat? Just to be clear, I am *not* referring here to psychosis do to just very, very heavy alcohol use, but because you had psychosis in the past do to manic depression or schizoaffective disorder.

I noticed my ex brother-in-law relapsing when he indulged in alchol. (He was diagnosed with schizofrenia). A friend of mine is manic-depressive: sometimes he gets worse sometimes he doesn't. I noticed he tends to stay away from alchol though.
I've been psycothic myself (psychotic depression) : i didn't notice any worsening or relapsing while drinking. I do get worse under severe pressure and stress though. I think drinking could be a "stressor" somewhat as well as not getting enough sleep and stuff like that. (Don't take my words for granted , i'm not a doctor, just talking about my personal experience).
That's it. I hope it helped you to clarify the situation a little bit.Take care
