Kelly,

It's probably nothing serious but nonetheless, you should inform your prescriber about this, ASAP.

There have been anecdotal reports of serious allergic reaction to Wellbutrin called "Bupropion-induced serum sickness-like reaction." This condition generally involves the system as a whole. Aside from itching and rash, symptoms may progress to swelling of fingers, toes, knees, and eyelids; there may also be redness of the conjunctiva, some respiratory distress and wheezing, and joint pains. With this adverse reaction, Wellbutrin should be stopped immediately and the patient treated with steroids. Incidentally, Prozac has also been reported to cause serum-sickness like reaction.

> I started Wellbutrin 3 weeks ago at 150 mg. My doctor bumped it up to a total of 300 mg...per day. I now have developed extremely itchy palms and it is making me crazy. If anyone has had this side effect can you tell me if it goes away and how long did it take?
