You may want to give Celexa a little more time BUT:

My experience was that Ativan for me (or Klonopin for others) works best for social anxiety. AD's exacerbated the problem for me and the more reading I do the more it seems that for this class of anxiety disorder, benzos are the way to go - even long term.

I then added neurontin in small dose to stabilise my mood during the time when ativan goes in and out of my system. It also has a calming effect for me.

My psychopharmacologist thinks it is a really terrific idea to add the neurontin (my idea). I'd been experimenting for 10 years to find the right benzo with the least amount of side effects for me and then the mood stabiliser.

You may want to read this site about SAD meds as it seemed right on in my experience:

Best of luck!

Alan
