> I ve been on zyprexa for about two months now, and about a week and half ago I experienced bad depression, constantly feeling sad. It was unbearable. originally Zyprexa had been given to me as a mood stabilizer, and to help with ruminating thoughts. It helped clear up my mind and gave some inner peace. Bt now since last week I've over pondered about my future and seem to be extra sensitive and there so much raw emotion. Whats happening? I ve just been given prozac two days ago, hoping that will stop the sadness. Can I blame zyprexa for the sadness?Zyprexa + Prozac is an awesome combination, at least for me and in clinical studies anyway. Even when neither drug alone was very helpful, the combination can be like magic. So no matter how Zyprexa was by itself, put some faith in the combination with Prozac. If this is going to work for you, you should see some hint of improvement anywhere from a few days to about 3 weeks.
I'm not sure if Zyprexa caused your bad feelings or not, but anything is possible. For example, in clinical studies the addition of Zyprexa was good for treating obsession with one person, but actually caused obsession with another. No matter what psych drug we try, anything is possible. But again, the anecdotal evidence and clinical evidence for the superiority of Zyprexa+Prozac combination is impressive. At least you can feel comfortable knowing you are on a first class combination with strong potential.
