Klonopin on it's own just makes me sleepy; I take it for insomnia. I'm pretty sure it has a fairly benign effect on my mood. Added to Lamictal it may even improve my mood slightly (possibly some mood stabilizing synergy going on?).

Because of it's short half-life Xanax can cause rebound depression if you miss a dose. I found higher & higher doses were needed.

It's worth noting that ADs (ie Celexa) can, & often do, *worsen* the moods of Bipolar people. I'm curious as to why you haven't been prescribed a mood stabilizer with a BP dx. I would've thought that a MS wld be central to yr meds regimen...
