Considering that you have tried numerous antidepressants and Lithium, I think your future lies in the anticonvulsants. Carbamazepine XR or lamotrigine are two good ones with powerful antidepressant effects for some and benign side-effect profiles. I myself was on both at different times for unipolar depression, and I found that lamotrigine has more of an antidepressant effect for me than Tricyclics or MAOI's.
Its a shame that both buproprion and venlafaxine didn't help you much, because bipolars have a better response to those (they smooth out mood cycles better than other AD's): http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/split/Possible-indications-of-bi.html
