Because I was overly anxious because of past anxiety/panic attacks with true SSRI's (paxil, celexa, prosac, etc.), the only thing that got me over the "hump" was by getting rid of the Xanax and taking 1 mg. of Klonopin at night. I have absolutely "zero" side-effects at 75 mg. and great response. Some of us are just super sensitive and need a lot of support and a little augmentation to be able to stick something out. I personally can't tolerate Xanax at low doses (0.25 mg) for longer than 3 days before I start rebounding like crazy! Rebound anxiety, in my opinion is worse than the original anxiety. Just food for thought. AnneL
