Perhaps you can have your doctor prescribe a sleep medication so you can take the Effexor whenever you want and still be able to sleep. But if you want to go the OTC route, then you could always take some Benadryl or Tylenol Simply Sleep.
> Hi again....
> I know this subject has already been covered... but what ended up being the verdict taking effexor xr in the morning or night? I was taking in at 8 p.m. and slept great. Then insomnia kicked in. Tried taking it at 5. Fall asleep about an hour after than wake up with lots of energy. Is this a sign I should take it in the morning? Once I finally do fall asleep.. I usually sleep like 10 hours. Ugh. Anyone have any advice? And.... if I'm now taking it at 5.... how should I start in the a.m.? Take one tomarrow morning or skip a dose? I'll either have double or none. Not sure whats better. Thank for listening... I feel like a real pain with all the questions.... but you all make me feel comfortable. Michele
