You can add any of the anticonvulsants to the MAOI (and think of the anticonvulsants as ANTIDEPRESSANTS--I can tell you why later). I guarantee that you will experience relief from the addition of either depakote, carbamazepine, gabapentin, or lamotrigine. These drugs are acceptable for social phobia; effective in mood stability; and with significant antianxiety and antidepressant activity.
