Depression doe to Adderall

Posted by harley on April 2, 2001, at 9:58:47

I am interested in anyone's feedback in regard to school-age
children (10-12 years old) having depression-like symptoms
while taking Adderall. My daughter recently tried Concerta
(which didn't have any effect), and is now trying Adderall.
So far, her teacher says that her school behavior/habits
are starting to "look up" (ADD without hyperactivity),
but I am noticing a slightly "sullen" and more quiet child.
Does anyone experience "tiredness" with this drug? She
is usually a very talkative, bubbly and active child.
I really don't want to sacrifice her "old self" for better
school work!
