Difference between Phentermine and Dexedrine?

What is the diffence between Phentermine and other stimulants such as: Adderall, Ritalin,Dexedrine. I prefer Phentermine to treat my ADD. It seems smoother and I feel it just works better for me. Do these drugs effect the brain chemicals differently? Are all of these drugs the same classification of a controlled substance.
