Now the weight gain has become an issue for me. My dr wrote me a script today for EFFEXOR XR. He said this should help to loose some of the weight I gained.
If you wanted my opinion, I would say keep taking the prozac, and forget about the effexor. Dont mess up a good thing, and try to find other solutions to your weight problem, if you really have a weight problem. I would think that your emotional health would be more important than your weight, unless you are overweight to a point where its unhealthy, my advice is to keep taking the prozac if you can. I have read other peoples storys about how they had success with a drug, but then switched to a different drug in a effort to control their weight, but the second drug didnt work as well as the first, and then when the person goes back on the drug that did work its no longer effective. Its a common story. Also you should read about effexor before taking it, you will find many horror storys about effexors side effects and withdrawal from the drug.
