I already know what I'm in for. But I'm feeling so very stuck.
I've had a CAT scan and bloodtests to see if anything else has caused my acute stuttering (which is working on ~6 weeks now). They were clear...and of course, because the doctor didn't have me schedule another apointment immediately after ordering the tests, I have to wait until April 9th to see if it's anything else :P
I know it's the Paxil. I've taken it for three years, then tried to get off, and ended up with the stutter that won't go away even on the regular dose.
Anyway...I'm feeling pretty desperate for information here. If I did cold turkey it, does anyone know if that would eventually make the stuttering go away? Even my psych *reluctantly* agreed it was the Paxil, but her solution was to take more of it, which I refuse to do.
Anyone know how long it would take for my brain to readjust itself to making more serotonin?
Thanks for any help...
