In reply to Thanks All! I Took it This am, posted by tina on March 18, 2001, at 8:58:20
I took Paxil for several years, with no major side-effects, and it helped me a great deal until it pooped out. At that point, I went from 20mg/day to 60mg/day to get it working again, but all I got was periodic flushing and no more mood improvement. My mother has also been taking it for the last couple of years and hasn't had any problems. Everyone's different, but I think the odds are strongly in your favor.
I hope it works well for you, too.> I really appreciate the responses guys and gals.
> My aunt is on it and I talked to her at length as well and I'm not so scared anymore. Thanks to all for responding. I'll keep ya updated.

I've read the most horrific stories about it here on PB and on other sources and I stare at these little pills and can't bring myself to take them. They cost me $60 and I am too afraid to even try them.
