I have taken Paxil for over a year, and found that I have gotten so I can handle the amount of sleepiness I have, though in fact I remain more tired than I usually am (and add in being hypothyroid!).

Anyway, 5 mgs is a low dose, so you should be through any side effects pretty quick in my experience (though I was hospitalized when I started it).
