amisulpride and risperdal

Posted by michael on March 9, 2001, at 0:11:52

Do these two (amisulpride & risperdal) work in the same fashion? The same mechanism/receptors/neurotransmiters/etc.?

If amisulpride made me feel worse, does that indicate a strong liklihood that I would get the same results with risperdal? Or are they different enough that one is not a good indicator for the other?

I know there is no way to know w/o trying, I'm just trying to get a feel where I should rank this on my list of options/next things to try. Also, what kind of dosage?

(btw - I'm looking at this as an option for augmenting wellbutrin, trying to address sluggishness, lack of energy/motivation, concentration, etc. - both mental & physical ). Thanks for any thoughts. michael
