> any thought?Either one can improve sleep, but in different ways. For me Remeron was by far the best for intitiating sleep. It knocked me out everytime. I liked that. Next day carryover was nonexistant after a week and a half or so. Though it put me to sleep fast, I didn't really sleep deep though. I slept solid, but not deep, if that makes any sense.
Serzone takes longer to knock me out. While Remeron works in 45 minutes, Serzone takes several hours. I think I had a deeper sleep with Serzone though.
Oddly, either one can sometimes make sleep worse. That can happen with any drug. And the possibility always exists that one might somehow make you feel worse. That happens sometimes. I think Serzone is fairly guilty of that in enough cases that it is worth mentioning.
I don't think either one will help with pain. The tricyclics are better known for that purpose. One that would probably improve sleep, help with pain, and not be too bad in side effects would be Nortriptyline. I don't know though about the whole antidepressant thing for pain. I guess it must work for some people, but I don't understand it.
