Lorraine--Selegiline was a real puppy upper with me. It reminded me of Wellbutrin. Moclobemide (MAO reversible) also reminded me of Wellbutrin.
could you tell me some more about selegiline as a possible replacement for wellbutrin? i had never heard of it before. i've been on wellbutrin for 2 1/2 years now and it has been the only AD ever to work for me (i've also been on most of the ssri's and serzone). lately i feel like the effects may be wearing off. sometimes if i up my dosage to 450 mgs for a few days i feel an improvement, but otherwise... anyway, i've been reluctant to admit this waning of effect b/c i've been afraid that the only alternative is effexor, which almost everyone i know who's tried it tells me to stay far away from. it's really encouraging to hear about something else. how long were you on it? did you experience any significant side effects. any info would be appreciated. thanks!
