As Bradley said Mirapex is a Dopamine agonist. Scientists have figured out how it works on the dopamine receptors but not really why it works. I had a good reaction to Zyprexa which also effects dopamine so I wanted to give Mirapex a try to see if it would help with a different set of receptors in the dopamine system. So far it has been very good for me. I can only hope that it keeps up.
