---kazoo, judging by the caliber of the problems discussed on this board, and by the apparent intensity of the original poster (assuming that his/her keyboard wasn't stuck in "caps lock" mode), I think that you may be trying to treat a compound fracture with a Band-Aid. Not to mention which your unspoken assumption that prescription medications are always "bad," while homeopathic and herbal remedies are always "good," assumes facts that have not been established. Anything you ingest may have unforseen comsequences, and everyone's system is different; it's just a matter of finding what works for you.
> Now that you've realized that drugs don't always work, rogdog, why not try something that's actually *good* for your body and brain? I don't know if you had said you've tried homeopathic treatments, but I would gander that you haven't. I suggest the following:
>
> 1) Get yourself checked out COMPLETELY, as in "a good physical" type thing, to eliminate any physiological ailment (neuralgia?)
> 2) Look into natural means to help yourself, for example, vitamins, minerals and herbs in lieu of drugs. Any of the Andrew Weil books are good. Also, the web is filled with excellent material about holistic medicine. Learn!
> 3) Examine your diet: avoid processed sugar, salt, coffee, cola.
> 4) Keep drinking at a moderate level (beer/wine, no hard stuff).
