Hi Pam.

Effexor (venlafaxine) might be an interesting alternative for you. It has been judged by quite a few studies as being effective for ADD AD/HD, especially the behavioral impulsivity and hyperkinetic aspects. I don't know if venlafaxine addresses the attentional aspects of the disorder as well as do the stimulants. Effexor is less likely than Prozac to poop-out and makes a potent combination with Wellbutrin for depression. If you still need a stimulant for attentional deficits, I think the suggestions of Adderal (dl-amphetamine) are good ones.
