Nortriptyline Hcl Weight gain/loss

Hello!

I am currently taking Nortripyline Hcl (Pamalor). I have gained a considerable amount of weight. I was curious to know if, while watching what you eat to the point of dieting will allow for weight loss or does this medicine slow down your metabolism so much that weight loss is minimal or not at all. Thank you for your haelp.
