Only a couple of pounds. However, I am a bit more sedentary with
an old fracture (foot) acting up. Now that I am allowed to walk,
and due to the fact that I do indeed feel my appetite "numbed", I
feel pretty sure the weight loss will come in time. I am very pleased
just to not have any more weight gain!
By the way, I believe you were the one who mentioned a relative of yours
when I wrote about how Topamax seemed to help me not "blurt out" things,
and to count to ten in a group.
Both from my personal stand point, and as a psych nurse, I fear
you may find it somewhat difficult to convince anyone close to you
(almost ANYONE for that matter) to take medication). They usually
LIKE the way they feel. You might want to try getting several
other people together who care about this person as much you do.
All of you might meet together first. Then, the
touchy part, find a way to get together with the hurting individual.
(The best way is with a professional (counselor, priest, minister, etc)
avoid name calling, talk rationally, no yelling,)
I did not not to wear my "professional hat" so long (Sorry
Dr. Bob, Wrong Column -- Anyway Vince,I will pray for you and the other
individual. Blessings. Maribeth
