It is not uncommon to go thru a period of emotional lability with Celexa at about 4 to 6 weeks... This is more common when depression is treated than when anxiety alone is treated. It is usually a sign that the med is starting to work..

It is also not uncommon for the depression to continue to improve for 8 to 12 weeks....

4 weeks is too short a time period to give up on the med..
