Krystal--
Doubling your dose of Effexor to 150mg. would still leave you at the low end of the recommended therapeutic range for this med. Do not be surprised, however, if any initial side effects which you may have experienced when you began Effexor (such as nausea, dizziness, trouble sleeping, etc) return briefly when you increase your doseage. These reactions may last (if they show up at all) from several days up to 2 weeks and do *not* indicate that you are taking too much of the med; they merely reflect your body's adjustment to the change.
Good luck and well wishes---medlib
> I have been on Effoxor XR 75mg. for about 2 years now. It has worked wonders in my life. With a husbund who travels alot and 4 children I was worn to a frazzle and at my wits end. But recently I have been depressed and more tired than ever. My gyn. referred my to a psych. doc. who can not see me until 1-31. I can not wait that long. So I asked what to do in the meantime. He suggested that I take 2 of my pills instead of 1. Has anyone done this and what types of effects should I expect. I'm a little nervous because it says if you miss a dose do not double up, just wait until the next dose.
