Lynne,Even if you've tried the other SSRIs there is still a chance that Paxil might help you. I'm taking it now and it does help a little bit. If you quit the Parnate because of weight gain you probably wouldn't like Nardil because that causes even more weight gain--nonetheless in my experience Nardil is the gold standard in the treatment of social anxiety. Neurontin has worked very well for me, but I don't use it everyday now because it causes noticeable memory problems. You might try the neurontin and see--maybe it won't affect your memory in the same the way.
few years ago. Do you know if Klonopin is like Xanax and Activan just longer acting? I have not tried Nardil but I have used Parnate before. Parnate did help but the weight gain was too much for me.I have heard Paxil causes weight gain also so I have not tried it. I have used most of the other SSRIs and they didn't help.
