AD's and non-prescript combo

Does anyone have experience with combining SSRI's or other AD with non-prescription AD's such as SAMe or 5HTP? I've been through most of the AD's and either they've stopped working or cause GI side effects that are prohibitive for me (I have severe Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Any help appreciated deeply.
