Based on what I've read, I really doubt if PEA, by itself, will give any effect, other than headaches. It can be compounded with amphetamine to produce a number of DEA Schedule I drugs (for restricted research only, street drugs).
The chemist Shulgin reported "no effects" from oral doses of pure PEA up to 1600mg, or from i.v. doses up to 50mg.
