Just a tip... ssri's making anxiety much worse is a classical symptom of being bipolar. I think to some extent it can make you anxious in the beginning, but mine was really exaggerated.
I have tried most of the ssri's with the same problem, making anxiety worse. I had thought for a while that I had GAD. I believe I have a component of GAD, but underlying is bipolar II with hypomania and irritability, some dysphoria.
Like I stated, this is just a tip, and I'm SURE it doesn't apply to everyone. Have you tried any mood stabilizers? Neurontin really helped with anxiety, but made me really tired and concentration problems.
Hope this helps. Trust your instinct.
