Hi Jen,

This may not apply to you but I think it's worth mentioning here.

A couple of cases reported in the literature indicate that SSRIs can unmask a pheochromocytoma. This a tumor of the adrenal gland that usually manifest itself by episodes of palpitations, nausea, paleness, perspiration, headache and markedly elevated blood pressure.

It was suggested that sudden elevation in blood pressure in a patient taking SSRI might indicate this possible underlying diagnosis.
