Tere,

For what it's worth, my psychiatrist's first choice for me when I wanted to switch from Zoloft due to weight gain was Celexa. I hadn't done well on Wellbutrin so that was not an option. Unfortunately, I become severe agiatated on Celexa so that wasn't an option either.

Right now, I am on Prozac and have lost weight due to the fact that it cuts my appetite to "Normal" levels. I am wondering since prozac and celexa are similar, maybe it will have the same effect on you? Of course, we're all different so it's hard to say.

However, I strongly empathize with you as I felt miserable on Zoloft. I have a pretty liberal attitude about weight compared to most people but when I was buying clothes on a monthly basis, it went by the wayside.

Maybe give it a shot but allow yourself the option of changing if you feel Celexa is not working or is also causing weight gain. You know what's best for you.

Good luck

Shirley
