Hi John,
I'm taking .25mg twice a day (morning & bedtime) for now, probably going up to at least 1 mg/day. It seems to be working really well, within 2 days. I feel much more motivated, awake, and interested in life. I had a similar response to amisulpride (although risperidone feels less stimulating generally speaking), but after a month I got very irritable, so only time will tell with risperidone.
I wouldn't say it's good for sleep for me -- seems to cause a little insomnia, but I often have insomnia so it's hard to tell. Slight dry mouth, slight increase in appetite, rapid heartbeat. What I like the most is that it makes me feel awake but not at all agitated or anxious.
Are you thinking of trying it?
