> I AM ON DAY FOUR WITH WELLBUTRIN AFTER A PAINFULL FEW DAYS OF WITHDRAWEL FROM EFFEXOR. I HAVE TO SAY I AM FEELING BETTER THAN I WAS LAST WEEK! THE DIZZINESS AND SPINNING WAS TO MUCH FOR ME. I AM INTERESTED IN OTHERS EXPERIANCES WITH WELLBUTRIN, I AM VERY HOPEFULL THAT THIS MAY BE THE ONE DRUG FOR ME. I HAD TRIED PROZAC THEN EFFEXOR AND NOW MY NEW "WONDER DRUG" WELLBUTRIN!!
KARIN C. - This is my third try with Wellbutrin.
The first was the best. Wellbutrin takes about eight days to work (maybe more for some.) The first thing I noticed was a feeling like i was physically being pulled out of my depression, like someone pulled me up to a standing position while lying down. I then became a little more pro-active. I also lost a little bit of weight (good for me) and noticed that i smoked less (also good.) but like all the other anti-ds, it stopped working after a while and higher dosages up to 450 mgs didn't help. the second time after trying something else, it didn't work. the third time, my p-doc prescribed it in addition to selegeline when that seemed not to work enuf. i didn't notice any effects other than on the eighth day, i seemed to feel markedly less depressed. that's when i called the pharmacist and asked her how long it takes to work. her answer: eight days. a couple of weeks ago, after about a month on 300 mgs supposedly, i was about to complain toi my p-doc it wasn't working enuf - when i counted my pills and realized i hadn't been taking 300 every day - by a longshot. so now i'm religious about my 300, and it seems okay so far. like you, i'm hoping for the best, but i wouldn't count on it as a wonder drug.caroline h.
