ambien-------safety

I have done research and am unable to find the ld50 for ambien. with most responses stating that noone has successfully overdosed on ambine, but the highest dosage treatment has been 400mg. I would be interested in what others have found as for as a safe dose of ambint, i know it states do not exceed "10mg"
but i have been put on up to 40 mg before........and since I would just like to know the LD50 for ambien or any other onformation that could be provided.
